HappySoaps is a trademark of ShaversClub B.V.  HappySoaps cares about your privacy. We therefore only process data that we need for our services or to improve our services and treat the information we have collected about you and your use of our services with care. We never make your data available to third parties for commercial purposes.

This Privacy Policy is applicable to the use of the website and the services of HappySoaps that are derived from the website. The effective date of validity of these General Terms and Conditions is 17/06/2019; the publication of a new version invalidates all previous versions. This Privacy Policy describes what data about you is collected by us, what these data is used for and with whom and under what conditions these data may be shared with third parties. We also explain to you how we store your data, how we protect your data from misuse and what rights you have with regard to the personal data you have provided to us.

Web shop software

WooCommerce

Our web shop was developed with WooCommerce software, and we chose TransIP for our web hosting. Personal data that you make available to us for our services will be shared with this company. TransIP has access to your data to provide us with technical or other support. They will never use your data for any other purpose. TransIP is obliged, on the basis of the agreement we have concluded with them, to take appropriate security measures. These security measures consist of the application of SSL encryption and a strong password policy. Regular backups are made to prevent data loss.

Web hosting

TransIP

We purchase web hosting and e-mail services from TransIP. TransIP processes personal data on our behalf and does not use your data for its own purposes. However, this company may collect metadata on the use of the services. These are not personal data. TransIP has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent the loss and unauthorized use of your personal data. TransIP is obliged to maintain confidentiality under the agreement.

E-mail and mailing lists

Klaviyo

Wij versturen onze e-mail nieuwsbrieven met Klaviyo. Klaviyo zal uw naam en e-mailadres nooit voor eigen doeleinden gebruiken. Onderaan elke e-mail die geautomatiseerd via onze website is verzonden ziet u de ‘unsubscribe’ link. U ontvangt onze nieuwsbrief dan niet meer. Uw persoonsgegevens worden door Klaviyo beveiligd opgeslagen. Klaviyo maakt gebruik van cookies en andere internettechnologieën die inzichtelijk maken of e-mails worden geopend en gelezen. Office365

We use Office365 services for our regular business e-mail traffic. Microsoft has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent misuse, loss, and corruption of your and our data as much as possible. Office365 does not have access to our mailbox and we treat all our e-mail traffic as confidential.

Payment processors

Mollie

We use the Mollie platform to handle payments or a part thereof in our web shop. Mollie processes your name, address and place of residence information as well as your payment information, such as your bank account or credit card number. Mollie has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. Mollie reserves the right to use your data to further improve its services and, in this context, to share anonymized data with third parties. All of the above safeguards regarding the protection of your personal data also apply to those aspects of the services of Mollie for which it engages third parties. Mollie will not retain your data longer than permitted by law.

Reviews

The Feedback Company

We collect reviews via the platform of The Feedback Company. If you leave a review via The Feedback Company, you are required to provide your name and e-mail address. The Feedback Company shares this information with us so we can link the review to your order. The Feedback Company also publishes your name on its own website. In some cases, The Feedback Company may contact you to request an explanation of your review. If we invite you to leave a review, we will share your name and e-mail address with The Feedback Company. Shipping and logistics

PostNL

When you place an order with us, it is our responsibility to get your package delivered to you. We use the services of PostNL to carry out deliveries. This requires us to share your name, address, and place of residence with PostNL. PostNL uses this data only for the purpose of executing the agreement. If PostNL engages subcontractors, PostNL will also make your data available to these parties.

Invoicing and bookkeeping

Moneybird

For our administration and bookkeeping, we use the services of Moneybird. We share your name, address, and details regarding your order. This data is used for the administration of sales invoices. Your personal data is transmitted and stored in a protected manner. Moneybird is obliged to observe confidentiality and will treat your data confidentially. Moneybird does not use your personal data for purposes other than those described above.

External sales channels

Bol.com

We sell some of our items via the platform of Bol.com. If you place an order via this platform, Bol.com will share your order and personal data with us. We use this information to process your order. We treat your data confidentially and have taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data from loss and unauthorized use.

Purposes of data processing

General purposes of the processing

We use your data for the sole purpose of providing our services. This means that the purpose of the processing is always directly related to your placing of an order. We do not use your data for targeted marketing. If you share data with us and we use this data to contact you at a later date, other than at your request, we will explicitly ask you for your consent. Your data will not be shared with third parties other than to fulfil accounting and other administrative obligations

Data we collect automatically

Data that is automatically collected by our website is processed with the aim of further improving our services. This data, such as your IP address, web browser and operating system, is not personal data.

HappySoaps may be obliged by law to share your data in connection with governmental tax or criminal investigations. In such case, we are forced to share your data, but we will oppose this within the scope of the law.

Retention periods

We will retain your data for as long as you are a customer of ours. This means that we will retain your customer profile until you indicate that you no longer wish to use our services. If you indicate this to us, we will also consider this to be a right to be forgotten request. Due to applicable administrative obligations, we are obliged to retain invoices containing your personal data; we will retain this data for the applicable period. However, employees will no longer have access to your customer profile or the documents we created in connection with your order.

Right to data portability

You always have the right to have the data we process, which relate to your person or can be traced back to you, carried out by another party. You may make a request to that effect to our contact person for privacy matters. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you copies or transcripts of all the data about you that we have processed or that are processed on our behalf by other processors or third parties to your e-mail address we have on record. In all likelihood, we will not be able to continue to provide services in such a case, as the secure interconnection of data files can no longer be guaranteed.

Right to object and other rights

As and when necessary, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data by or on behalf of HappySoaps. If you object, we will immediately cease data processing pending the outcome of your objection. If your objection is well-founded, we will provide you with transcripts and/or copies of the data we process or have processed, and then permanently cease processing this data.
